The answer to a string player's prayer!
The first simple cure for slipping & creaking pegs.
Easy to use, just:
1. Loosen peg.
2. Slide peg out of peg box slightly (no need to remove the peg completely).
3. Apply one drop of PEG DROPS to each peg at the point of contact inside the peg box.
4. Insert peg and wipe off excess liquid from peg box.
Instrument can be used immediately.
However, steady improvement will take place over a 12 hour period while the special formula treats the wood of the peg and peg hole.
WARNING: Avoid contact with varnish. Wipe off excess liquid from finish immediately after applying to pegs.

*This beautiful Prima measures approximately 27 inches in length. *The scale length is 430 mm. *The body has the classical triangular shape. *The back is slightly bowed and made with stave construction in lacewood. *The Balalaika strings are tuned above middle C to: A, E, E (1st-3rd). *The 1st string is the thinnest, and lays over more frets than the 2nd 3rd strings. *Use a piano or electronic tuner as a reference for tuning. *The tension on each tuning peg can be adjusted by tightening or loosing the screw on the top of the peg. *To play, the left hand notes the strings while the index finger of the right hand strums high on the soundboard near the neck. *The dark rosewood on the soundboard is decorative but also protects the soundboard from the strumming.  Tight or Loose Pegs?Remember, tuning pegs are pegs, not screws or bolts. If one is loose, put a little chalkboard chalk on it so it grips. If a peg is too tight, rub a candle or Crayola onto the peg to loosen it up. |
