Everyone will notice you when you perform on this solid rosewood body 8 STRING LYRE HARP. Notice the soft gentle curves of this eight string lyre. The eight METAL strings provide a classical sound that is enhanced by the solid spruce soundboard. The METAL strings also contribute mightily to the resonance, which carries and carries.
When you are not playing, you can hang it up as a piece of art; it’s that pretty. Tuning tool, extra string set included. Hold it upright on your lap or as you walk, and pluck both sides of the strings. Or lay it flat and pluck it. 10 inches wide by 17 inches long, 2.75 inches deep. To reduce the chance of damage during shipping, stringed instruments are detuned and movable bridges are laid flat. The movable bridge should sit at an angle on the soundboard. The optimum position of the bridge under the High G string is 5 inches from the hitch pin. Under the E the bridge should be 2 inches from the hitch pin.
Biblical Tuning (and String Size):
When tuning, remember the tuning pins are tapered and will hold more firmly as you press inward. Use a piano or electronic tuner as a reference. Biblical
tuning allows for the player to set the tuning based on inspiration. Hence, there is no right or wrong tuning. We suggest, left to right, facing the soundboard:
High G , F#, E, D#, C, B, A, G, F#, E (High G is the G above Middle C) The sizes for each string are approximately:

The Kinnor Harp (King David’s Harp)
We remove the bridge , lay it flat and loosen the strings prior to shipping. The movable bridge should sit at anangle on the soundboard. The optimum position for the bridge is at about a 45 degree angle, upper left to lower right, and positioned under the High G string by about 5 inches from the hitch pins. The right side of the bridge is under the E String and should be 2 inches from the hitch pins. The far left string is your High C and the far right string is your E. The Hitch pins secure the strings at the bottom of the harp. Naturally, your own preference will prevail, as this is merely a guide.

This is authentic recreation of a loud biblical Nevel Harp. 26 inches with 15 nylon strings for the biblical scale. Includes a padded case and a tuning tool.
According to Greek mythology, Hermes created a lyre-like instrument from the shell of a large tortoise. He stretched animal hide over the shell opening and attached antelope horns as posts. A similar instrument with a skin soundboard called the bägänna, is a large eight or ten-string lyre, made of a trapezoidal wooden frame fitted with a skin soundboard. Some believe this is the instrument King David played to temper the ravings of King Saul. The bägänna's bass vibrations are said to bring peace to the soul. The instrument, associated with the Ethiopian Coptic Church since the 4th century, was played primarily at Christmas and Lent. Traditionally, Biblical harps are tuned to compliment the voice of the singer. We suggest the following
notes for the strings from left to right facing the soundboard:
High E (.030”), D# (.030), C (.030), B (.035”), A (.035”), G (.045”), F# (.045”), E (.045”),
D# (.050”), C (.050”), B (.050”), A (.060”), G (.060”), F# (.060”), Low E (.060”)
High E is one octave above Middle C.

This is a wonderful reproduction Lute. It measures 27 inches with 22 nylon strings across a beautiful and sturdy Rosewood frame. Strings run from tuning pegs on the curved neck to an angled bridge on the soundboard. Includes tuning tool and soft nylon travel case.
Tuning of Lute harp: the bottom (longest) note is middle C on the piano. From there, you tune upwards C, D, E etc.
