This handy device fits easily over your pipe chanter to make tuning your drones easier and more accurate. With the Third Hand covering the holes normally covered by B, C and D fingers of the bottom hand, this allows you to have a free hand and tune drones easily. The Universal water trap works the same way as a regular tube style water trap, but it is installed without having to re-tie in blowpipe stock. Simply take the blowpipe out of the stock and insert the water trap into the stock, then tighten. To empty the trap, simply remove the blowpipe from the stock and tip upside-down. The Fraser Vest fits over the pipe bag, as shown in the picture to the left, and then gets hidden under the bag cover. The vest goes over the stocks, this is to avoid slipping. The Canmore Pipe bag is made of a Gore-Tex material that has a pinhole-free fabric and fully sealed stitching. This bag is requires virtually no maintenance (no seasoning, naturally supple, pick up and play at any time). The fabric has automatic moisture control. The Canmore pipe bag is basically a no tying-in bag where you only need to tie in chanter stock. All other stocks are a friction fit. The Gannaway pipe bag is a next generation hyde bag. The reasoning for this is the revolutionary tanning techniques used in the production process. This allows for greater moisture control than with traditionally tanned hyde bags. The bags are designed with a swan neck and the double glued seams are guaranteed for the life of the bag. Stock holes pre-cut allowing for easy tying-in. It is recommended that with Gannaway pipe bags that you use the Gannaway seasoning, so we INCLUDE the seaoning for you! Each bag comes with a bottle of leather primer for first use. On the zippered bags, the medium and large bags come with grommets, the small one has pre-cut holes but no grommets. This generally takes about 3 weeks for delivery.

The Bannetyne Pipe bag is a unique hybrid of a traditional hyde bag, and the new synthetic bags, combining the best of both types. The synthetic lining means that seasoning is not necessary. While the hyde style fabric on the outside of the bag give the same feel as a traditional hyde bag. The zipper allows access to the bag for different moisture control systems. The solid rosewood MEDIEVAL PIPE is carved in three sections, with brass trim and key. 8 finger holes. Reed mounts on the inside. Includes reed.
The Medieval Pipe is very similar to the rauschpfeif and the cornamuse. There are important differences. The rauschpfeif is distinctive among Renaissance windcap instruments, as it has a conical bore giving it a loud voice. The cornamuse has a similar shape as the Medieval Pipe, but the bell on the cornamuse has a closed end. The cornamuse sound escapes through the side holes of the bell giving it a very soft voice. The Medieval Pipe has a straight bore and the bell has an open end; it is much softer sounding than the rauschpfeife. The primary art in playing windcap instruments is in maintaining a strong breath pressure to keep the reed vibrating and the instrument in tune. The required breath pressure is very strong compared to flute and recorder.

Yes...cane and modern chemistry can be mixed together to produce a superior drone reed! The cane tongue and maple body of the SPITFIREstyle synthetic/cane drone reeds have been stablized with a custom infusion process to saturate it with a proprietary mixture. Both ends of the bore have been reinforced with a brass lining which are secured with a special, all weather adhesive. The aluminum tuning plug has a rubber washer to provide a proper seal and is more snug than with the Novacane reed. The tongue is secured to the body with three heavy-duty rubber O-rings, the last acting as the bridle. An additional O-ring is located past the end of the tongue to protect it when inserting the drone back into its stock.

The stock style water trap fits in the bottom of the blowpipe stock. This water trap is made of cork, with a brass tube. It comes with some fabric abrasive to sand the cork to the desired dimensions to fit the internal bore of the blowpipe stock. This water trap will allow some moisture to still enter the pipe bag, but will collect most of the moisture before it enters the pipe bag. Shipping usually runs about 14 or so business days.

The Ross Canister system is probably the most popular drying system on the market. It is made to go inside the Ross Canister pipe bags. The V3 Drier system is a drying canister that controls and reduces the amount of moisture going to the drone reeds. As well, it provides regulated pressure and a full drone tone. The V3 system also has built in spring valves that will help with solid strike ins and cut offs. The spring valves work in the same way as ash plugs.
